中国英语学习者心理词典中的语义网络研究

本研究通过基于语义的词汇联想测试对比了中国英语学习者与英语母语者的词汇语义连接模式。所考察的语义连接类型有六种:同义、反义、上下义、搭配、语义邻接、语义远亲。实验结果显示,中国英语学习者的英语和汉语词汇语义连接模式的不同主要体现在语义邻接和搭配的比例上,英语中搭配的比例比汉语高,而汉语中语义邻接的比例明显高于英语;同英语母语者相比,搭配、语义邻接和语义远亲的比例也呈显著差异。关键词: 心理词典、语义网络、词汇联想

Abstract:

Using meaning-based word association tasks, the present study compares the English and Chinese word association patterns of Chinese EFL learners with those of English native speakers. Six types of semantic relations are examined: synonyms, antonyms, hyponyms, collocations, semantic neighbors and semantic remote relatives. The results show that the Chinese association pattern of Chinese subjects is different from that of their English counterparts in that the proportion of collocations is higher in English than in Chinese, whereas the proportion of Chinese semantic neighbors is significantly higher than that of English. The percentages of semantic neighbors, semantic remote relatives and collocations vary remarkably too when the association patterns of the two experiment groups are compared.
