摘要: 本文基于对汉语的研究经验,讨论构式语法产生的历史背景及其进步与局限。作者认为,构式语法印证了认知语言学关于语法和语义关系的基本原则,其分析具有建立在经验事实之上的直观性,不同使用频率的结构得到了同样的重视,对人类语言的一些语法共性做了成功的解释;其研究对象明确而具体,也符合儿童语言的习得过程。其理论将共时语法系统看作一个动态的变化过程,可以成功地解释词汇语法化的诱因。构式语法的局限性在于:对构式概念的不合理扩大掩盖了两类性质不同的语言单位之间的差异,从而也造成句子分析的繁琐;它尚未解决语法结构的多义性问题,无法解释一个构式的结构意义形成的原因,适用的结构类型也很有限。

Abstract: On the basis of our own research experiences of Chinese language, this paper addresses advances and limitations of Construction Grammar (CG henceforth); also, the background of the age in which CG took shape has been discussed. We claim that CG supports the principle of cognitive linguistics about the relationship between semantics and syntax; its analysis is based on empirical data and thus objective; constructions with different frequencies have been paid equal attention to; language universals have been successfully explained; its research objects are clear and concrete; and its generalizations can be applied to explain child language acquisition. In addition, CG sees a synchronic system of grammar as a dynamic process, which can explain motivations for grammaticalization. The limitations of CG are as follows: the improper extension of the term ’construction’ obscures the distinction between word formation and syntax and consequently makes grammatical analysis unnecessarily complicated; the reasons for ambiguity of construction have not been successfully explored; the resources of the meaning of a const ruction have not been successfully identified; its theory can only be used to deal with a limited group of constructions.
