国际语言测试研究热点与趋势分析(2008-2018)

A bibliometric analysis of research hotspots and trends in international language testing (2008-2018)

摘要: 本文以 Web of Science 收录的 10 种国际核心期刊在 2008-2018 年间所刊登的语言测试领域论文为研究对象,利用科学计量学软件 CiteSpace,从发文量、高影响力文献、高被引作者、研究前沿和热点等方面对近 11 年国际语言测试研究的整体发展脉络进行系统分析。研究发现:1)从发文总量来看,英语国家依然是语言测试研究的重镇,亚洲地区近年发文量增长迅速;2)发文和被引较多的课题主要集中在效度验证、语言测试的社会性研究、评价素养以及行为测试等;3)研究前沿与热点课题联系紧密,效度研究依然是重要课题;4)测试与课堂教学结合紧密,计算机技术在语言测试中扮演的角色日益突出。研究结果对我国语言测试研究具有启示意义。

Abstract: This paper analyzes the research articles of language testing studies published between 2008 and 2018, using CiteSpace, a visualization tool in scientometrics. Research data were retrieved from 10 highly-cited international academic journals via the Web of Science Core Collection. The analysis focused on the most productive countries/regions/authors, high-impact references and highly cited authors, as well as the research fronts and hotspots in language testing studies. The results demonstrate: 1) The most productive regions are English-speaking countries, though recent years witnessed a significant increase in research output in Asian countries; 2) High-impact references and highly cited authors mainly focus on test validation, social dimensions of language testing, language assessment literacy and performance assessment; 3) Validity remains one of the most important research topics; language assessment and learning will be more closely connected; 4) Technology will continue to play a prominent role in language assessment. The findings of this study have significant implications for language testing research in China.
